I'm no expert and assuming you mean a package dependency rather than library dependency but I don't think so since an application linking guichan-allegro but not guichan would not get the guichan symbols loaded so guichan-allegro would not be able to use guichan symbols, even though both libraries would be installed on the system. -- bye, pabs https://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise
