Package: vpnc
Version: 0.5.3r550-3.1

The Debian vpnc source contains a patch called 'dpd_big-endian.patch'.
This patch adresses an (obsolete) issue in vpnc, where the DPD sequence
number was incorrectly incremented in the wrong byte order.

However, this byte order issue has been fixed upstream in r481,
imported to the Debian source on 2012-01-09
(46a0cbfb636bf65b7b9c8b84c762bf6444eed021). In this revision, the
sequence number is in host byte order in memory. It is converted to
network byte order when building the packet. (Before, it was just
memcpy()'d when building the packet.)

Effectively, both changes kind of cancel each other. Thus, the byte
ordering and incrementation of the sequence number is wrong in the
current Debian (and other distributions') packages.

Please remove 'dpd_big-endian.patch'.

Cheers,
Enrik
