Well I did some more digging.
I believe it's the Python variables which are wrong. Specifically the
${Python_INCLUDE_DIR}
I believe the correct variable is ${Python_INCLUDE_DIRS}
I made a patch, which patches the old patch.
I created a merge request in salsa with the change.
