Package: ncbi-blast+-legacy Version: 2.9.0-4 Severity: normal Hi,
I'm aware that language extensions in Debian are not conform to policy. However, as we discussed in https://lists.debian.org/debian-med/2018/06/msg00043.html only stripping the extension is sometimes hard for rdepends of our packages. In this case the lack of blastpgp.pl requires heavy patching of t-coffee which could be avoided if we would provide both versions - blastpgp.pl and blastpgp - one of both as symlink. Kind regards and thanks for maintaining ncbi-blast+-legacy Andreas. -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (501, 'testing'), (50, 'buildd-unstable'), (50, 'unstable'), (5, 'experimental'), (1, 'buildd-experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.4.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=de_DE:de (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages ncbi-blast+-legacy depends on: ii ncbi-blast+ 2.9.0-4 ncbi-blast+-legacy recommends no packages. ncbi-blast+-legacy suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
