For documentation purposes adding the following: I got contacted by the LXC maintainers, specifically due to potentially enabling the lxc-checkpoint tool, but only if we lift this blocking bug and allow criu to be released in bullseye. This is a valid request, and will look into if #796536 is still too overcautious and we should actually move on and include criu in the next stable release. Salvatore
