As answered in another bug report, deciding whether this or that package should be part of the basic install is not D-I job..... An option would be suggesting a new "task" for "Basic sound support"...or include the ALSA stuff in the desktop task. I personnally favor the second option. CC'ing Joey Hess who usually has the wise advice about tasksel...:-)
