Hello Joey. Thus wrote Joey Hess: > So, this is not the git-annex bug tracker, which is where design work > on git-annex happens, not in a distro's bug tracker. Granted. I did however submit to my distro's tracker first to eliminate the case of this being Debian's fault due to a distro-specific patch, as I know happens with some other packages. Sadly, I lack the technical knowledge to verify by myself whether this is indeed the case. I also assumed that if this turned out not to be a Debian-specific complaint, then someone would forward to or request resubmission on git-annex's tracker. I take it that I have permission (or encouragement, or whatever) to do so now. > Also, you seem to be requesting different changes at different points > in this thread. Actually, it's always been the same request: Fix git-annex's treatment of non-dotfiles, even if the relative path “looks like a dotfile”. Or clarify that this is intended behavior by defining what counts as a dotfile, in the manual. > Result is kind of annoying to me, so I'm out, at least until > a reasonable bug report gets filed in the git-annex bug tracker. There is now an upstream bug report (see top), which is hopefully clearer on what I'm requesting. I'll await further discussion there, then. Cheers, Marco
