Package: rinse Version: 3.5 Severity: normal Tags: newcomer Hi,
rinse doesn't work with cpio 2.13+dfsg-2 (at least). This cpio version doesn't support --extract-over-symlinks which makes the unpacking command in rinse die with "failed to extract" I don't know exactly why, or if, --extract-over-symlinks isn't available. But it completely breaks rinse. - Ole-Morten Duesund -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.5.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages rinse depends on: ii cpio 2.13+dfsg-2 ii libterm-size-perl 0.209-1+b2 ii libwww-perl 6.44-1 ii perl 5.30.2-1 ii rpm 4.14.2.1+dfsg1-1.1+b1 ii rpm2cpio 4.14.2.1+dfsg1-1.1+b1 ii wget 1.20.3-1+b2 rinse recommends no packages. rinse suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
