Package: cyrus-imapd Version: 3.2.0-5~bpo10+1.1 Severity: important Tags: upstream
Dear Maintainer, the 3.2.0s lmtpd gets killed by FORTIFY_SOURCE. The lmtpd-session will never return a success, so the MTA constantly retries to deliver the mail. Cyrus internal gets the mail nonetheless, so it ends in endless duplicates and a bounce afterwards. Bugreport/Fix is upstream, will be included in 3.2.1: https://github.com/cyrusimap/cyrus-imapd/issues/3035 upto then, the 3.2.0 package is not usable and should be patched/removed at least from backports. *** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? * What was the outcome of this action? * What outcome did you expect instead? *** End of the template - remove these template lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.4 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to de_DE.UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to de_DE.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages cyrus-imapd depends on: ii cyrus-common 3.2.0-5~bpo10+1.1 ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libcom-err2 1.44.5-1+deb10u3 ii libsasl2-2 2.1.27+dfsg-1+deb10u1 ii libssl1.1 1.1.1d-0+deb10u3 ii libwrap0 7.6.q-28 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.11.dfsg-1 Versions of packages cyrus-imapd recommends: ii rsync 3.1.3-6 cyrus-imapd suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
