I think it would be very useful to have this feature in fai. 
Björn, thanks for the patch!

Though instead of FAI_HOOK_DIR=/etc/fai/hooks I would rather 
propose /etc/fai/make-fai-nfsroot-hooks/ or /etc/fai/nfsroot-hooks.
