Dear Maintainer,
I encountered bug #963706 last week, and was happy to see that it had been
addressed
in version 20.04.3-1 uploaded today, July 10. Unfortunately, the new version
does
not appear to fix the bug for me.
I have the same problem and error message as in the original report. The
current
version of ffmpeg (version 7:4.3-3) is installed. In troubleshooting, I did
notice
that if I delete my kdenliverc file and then start kdenlive from a terminal, it
gives the following output that seemed a little suspicious to me (but kdenlive
still
starts normally):

I have not been able to roll back ffmpeg to test if that fixes the problem.
