The zlib patches also were added between 4.21 and 5.0 (if I interpret https://salsa.debian.org/wine-team/wine/-/compare/debian%2F4.21-2...debian%2F5.2-3 correctly), which is the regression range. So my current hypothesis is that those patches indeed introduced the bug here. Kind regards diafero
