Version: 2020.3.0
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

I upgraded the kali rolling distro.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

I ran apt upgrade.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

The package kali-themes failed because it tried to create a symlink in the
/boot/grub/themes/kali directory.

On my system (Samsung ARM chromebook), /boot has VFAT filesystem, that
can't hold symlinks.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

The package should not attempt to create symlinks in /boot.
