Package: nethack
Version: 3.4.3-7
Severity: normal

In wizard mode:

  1. ^V to minetown.
  2. ^W for 5000 gold pieces.
  3. ^T to directly outside a shop wall.
  4. ^W for a wand of digging.
  5. Zap the wand at the shop wall. The shopkeeper will demand that you
pay for the damage to the wall. Pay for the damage.
  6. ^W for a grappling hook.
  7. #enhance, without practice, flail skill to at least Skilled level.
  8. Apply the grappling hook. Use it to grab the item directly inside
the wall you dug through. This doesn't get handled properly, and
     confusion ensues.

Example from the last step (--More-- omitted for clarity):

You now wield an iron hook. Where do you want to hit?
Aim for what? a - an object on the floor

You snag an object from the floor!
"For you, esteemed sir; only 10 for this lamp."
You escaped the shop without paying!
You stole 10 zorkmids worth of merchandise.
An alarm sounds! You hear the shrill sound of a guard's whistle.
The Keystone Kops are after you!
unpaid_cost: object wasn't on any bill!
Program in disorder - perhaps you'd better #quit.
  m - a lamp (unpaid, 0 zorkmids).
Izchak zaps an aluminum wand! The wand misses you.
