Since debootstrap can't handle multiple URL's you should not specify the url for security updates in /etc/fai/sources.list. Otherwise there may be packages (currently perl_5.8.4*sarge3*) that are newer than those in the default repository and are not included when calling fai-mirrror. This may cause an installation from fai-cd to fail.
A solution may be to use the FAI_DEBOOTSTRAP value when downloading the packages which are included in base.tgz.
