Hi After this question, I checked my installation, and noticed that even though I had run `apt update` and `apt upgrade`, I had qemu-system-x86 version 1:5.0-8 as the newer 1:5.1+dfsg-4 was held back. Having manually installed the newer version, the issue is no longer there. Sorry for false alarm. This bug report can be closed. Regards Sicelo
