I'm fairly sure that I was seeing the same issue using mpv with libgl1-mesa-dri versions 20.1.8-1 and 20.2.0~rc4-2 on kernel 5.7.10-1, and the MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=i965 workaround also got rid of it. However, after installing the debug symbols and trying to reproduce it in gdb to get a backtrace, my system crashed and I accidentally rebooted with kernel 5.8.7-1, and now mpv seems to work fine… - Roland
