I've seen that bug in the meanwhile.


But interestingly it also failed with;

$ cowbuilder login --basepath .... etc.
[...]
# apt update
# apt dist-upgrade

[1] (which I often do) which wouldn't mean not doing a cowdancer update
would have worked around it? Or do I miss something?

[1] yes, that doesn't retain the upgrade but this was a one-shot build
for an upstream anyway.
