Yes for the most part (the metacity crashes). But the glitches are still
there after the update of libxfixes3. I suggest to let this bug open for
nv.
The problem with the glitches comes through the transparency of
whiteglass/redglass as it looks to me. I disabled HWCursor in xorg.conf
(nv defaults to "HWCursor" "true") and the glitches were gone. Maybe the
default should be altered (at least for some adapters) until a better
fix is available. I have the following in my system:
