It needs Breaks *and* Replaces on libdcmtk-dev (<< 3.6.5-1~): https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#overwriting-files-in-other-packages Breaks without Replaces would give the same failure during upgrades. cu Adrian
