With 4.8 there not will these type of symbols issue anymore, same with
version in experimental but is not good with very big patch, from some
fast tests I haven't found important issue but is better wait cinnamon
4.8 release stable (after good testing these weeks), in the meantime, in
a few days we can start making 4.8 packages for experimental (freetime
permitting).
