I believe this is daunting task. Templates can (dis)appear even across
minor lyx versions and tracking all this would be very time consuming
and would have minor impact except of few niche users.

In a decade no one volunteer to maintain such document and I don't see
this will change.

Non-debian specific document showing you which lyx related classes were
detected on your system is always to be found in Help->LaTeX Configuration.

The report 45 is a different bug already solved by clean up the cache.

All in all I think this bug should be closed.
