I'm happy to do or sponsor an NMU if the need arises, although if Gunnar plans to be back in January, I don't think there's an urgency at the moment. Getting to know Debian packaging is great if you also want to contribute to other areas in Debian (in which case, feel free to ping me if you need a sponsor!).
