Package: gnumeric
Version: 1.12.47-1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Dmitry,

Thank you very much for maintaining gnumeric!

I like it very much and have used it many times.

The main reason I'm writing is to politely ask you
to please forward something like an enhancement
request or bug report to gnumeric's fine upstream
maintainers.

I'd like gnumeric's "=now()" time function to be
more precise.

My testing and reading suggest the most precise
time gnumeric's =now() currently supports is 1
second intervals.

This is done with time formats like "[mm]:ss".

However localc (Libre Office Calc), and evidently
also Excel, can format times with much greater
precision.

Like in milliseconds.

localc supports it with the "MM:SS.000" format.

I tried to report this directly to the gnumeric
guys at

    https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnumeric/-/issues

but it says

    "new user registrations are disabled".

Thanks again for sharing your skill so generously!

Happy holidays,
Kingsley
