Package: libtiff5 Version: 4.2.0-1 Severity: wishlist I'm wondering whether it would make sense to document in /usr/share/doc/libtiff5/copyright that even though the tiff source package in general is under a BSD/MIT style license, the Debian build is necessarily GPL due to linking against the GPL library libjbig0.
On the other hand, similar reasoning would suggest going through all the reverse dependencies of libtiff4 to see what other packages would need to put in similar disclaimers - I would suppose probably at least all Gtk and Qt based packages would be affected. But that would be a huge and invasive task; so I'm not sure whether this request makes sense or not. -- Daniel Schepler
