20.12.1 is also affected

Dear Maintainer,

I noticed that since one of recent KDE updates in Debian (these are happening
really quickly now, good work, but because of that I don't really remember
which one was it!) Kdenlive (and some other KDE programs like DrKonqi, I'm
going to report this to every aeffected package) ignores the language setting
in almost all menus.

The language setting is accessible from 'Settings' -> 'Configure Language...'.
No matter which language it's set to, the interface remains in English, except for
some buttons like 'Defaults', 'OK' and 'Cancel' in the 'Configure Language' dialog
itself.

I tried reinstalling (with purge) 'kdenlive' and 'kdenlive-data', deleting my
config files, running a brand-new user and checking on another Unstable system
I own.

I also asked for confirming the problem on the #debian-next channel (OFTC): 2
other users reported the same problem.
@JB:
Could you help here, why translations are not working at all? I see similar problems on google with appstream and other versions of kdenlive, but could not find the root cause of this
