Yes, I first rebuilt apt, and aptitude-run-state-bundle aptitude-segv.bundle was still crashing, then applied the patch suggested at https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=980037#10 and I no longer get any crash.
