Mhh, could you please provide an example of this?
Last I know, mk-origtargz has this warning:
    "No files matched excluded pattern as the last matching glob: 
$info->{glob}\n";
which I believe it was your problem?

So, could you please explain with more details what you were doing that
wasn't reported back?
