This sounds not like the fault of owncloud-client and I cannot reproduce it und a KDE environment. So I think it more related to your Display manager / Desktop Environment. But nether the less, this is an issue, that should be reported upstream: https://github.com/nextcloud/desktop If you have created an issue.
