Right./usr/share/phpmyadmin/js/vendor/codemirror/lib/ as well as /usr/share/phpmyadmin/js/vendor/codemirror/addon/lint/ and /usr/share/phpmyadmin/js/vendor/codemirror/addon/hint/ were directories in the previous version (4.9), and are now symlinks.
“When upgrading a package, dpkg will not automatically switch a symlink to a directory or vice-versa.” dpkg-maintscript-helper(1).
William, you should add a d/maintscript file as documented in dh_installdeb(1).
