dconf participates in dependency loops relevant to architecture bootstrap. Instead of looking into such a difficult problem, I looked into easily droppable dependencies and noticed that dconf no longer uses libxml2 in any way. Please consider applying the attached patch to drop the libxml2-dev dependency. Helmut
