Dear Maintainer, I’m trying to use mate-notification-daemon without mate-screensaver, and it doesn’t work. If I keep mate-screensaver installed but not running, it starts on its own from time to time — turns out it’s mate-notification-daemon which prods it. Apparently, mate-notification-daemon checks whether a screensaver is running before showing a notification, and it hardcodes the mate-screensaver’s D-Bus interface org.mate.ScreenSaver instead of using some other cross-DE method. I had to recompile mate-notification-daemon from the source to disable this feature (I prefer mate-notification-daemon to other implementations for some of its features). - -- Cheers, Andrej -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iHUEARYIAB0WIQSD3NF/RLIsyDZW7aHoRGtKyMdyYQUCYBe9yAAKCRDoRGtKyMdy YUnhAPsH4bX5J3oHKz9fwpqhSlTttADBmtm31+cgs2n6KjGp/gEAxPxbtboXobRx INrcyvwKB3Z4faqWa39I0IGgmD0z7gU= =M0PR -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
