Yeah, that's such a coincidence, the bug numbers are even consecutive! I noticed the dependency issue earlier this morning, and only took the time to have some look now. That being said my patch is not enough to fix #981669, as the !nojava won't automatically be set for the nojava architectures, [!hppa !hurd-i386 !kfreebsd-i386 !kfreebsd-amd64] would additionally be needed, as well as ifneq (,$(filter $(DEB_HOST_ARCH),hppa hurd-i386 kfreebsd-amd64 kfreebsd-i386)) Samuel
