Package: gameconqueror Version: 0.17-2 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? I installed gameconqueror and found that it wouldn't start at all. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? First I tried updating my system and restarting my computer, that did not change anything. After some searching online I found an issue page on the scanmem github describing my issue and a workaround to run xhost +local: before starting the program. The workaround works so the program no longer crashes on startup if I remember to run xhost +local:. https://github.com/scanmem/scanmem/issues/263 Thank you for your time :) -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.8 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.10.15-xanmod1 (SMP w/4 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages gameconqueror depends on: ii gir1.2-gtk-3.0 3.24.5-1 ii policykit-1 0.105-25 ii python3 3.7.3-1 ii python3-gi 3.30.4-1 ii scanmem 0.17-2+b1 gameconqueror recommends no packages. gameconqueror suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
