Package: sylpheed-claws-gtk2 Version: 2.1.1-1 Severity: normal I was trying to filter all my messages using "Quick Search Bar" (the one below messages tree). Of course it works for Subcjet, To, From, but It seems that there is no effect on "Extended search" when using "X cmd" - external command. It is described as: "X cmd - messages returning 0 when passed to command" So I was trying to use 'X grep somestring' But sylpheed showed nor resoults. But when I open my terminal-emulator, go to place where sylpheed keeps my emails, and do recursive grep with the same 'somestrig' I have some files matching. And grep returns 0 if it finds something (I have checked with $?) so it should work here.
In the end I made some small pseudo-debbuging. I have created some script which was redirecting stdin and argv[1] to ~/debugfile.txt I put this as a command to SC's Extended search and my debug-file was still empty.
