I think we have sourced the problem and should have a fix soon. The djeq
plugin has a mono and a stereo option in the latest swh packages.

the binary packages hosted by the debian archive:
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/sound/jackeq (see the download section)
are built against libjack0.100.0, I've not tried with the latest
version, but maybe Lee did..
