Package: strace Version: 4.26-0.2 Severity: normal Debian's copyright file for the strace package is significantly outdated: * The upstream sources are no longer available at [1], but rather at [2] or [3], as pointed from the project page [4] and in the README files[5][6]. See also [7][8]. * The copyrightship (as outlined in COPYING[9]) after the year 2001 has been replaced with a wildcard "Copyright (c) 2001-20xx The strace developers." line, with the list of developers provided in the distributed CREDITS[10] file and the last copyright year corresponding to the year of the packaged strace release. * The license has been changed from BSD to LGPL-2.1-or-later for the main code and GPL-2.0-or-later for the test suite [11].
These issues are not present in the upstream debian/copyright[12]. The aforementioned also holds for the latest strace package version, 5.10-1.
