thank you for the detailed explanations.

So the problem is the Flash plugin, which is not supported upstream nor
distributed by Debian anymore.  While it was not my intention to make
its use more difficult, I wonder if the change is not a bad thing.
After all, users who really want to use it can simply add back the
x-shockwave-flash media type in `/etc/mime.types` and solve the problem
locally.

In any case, I think that it would be too late to revert the change in
the package before the release.  I may consider to request a Stable
update if other users support your point of view, but at the moment I
think that I will simply leave the situation as it is.

Please do not hesitate to ping me a couple of weeks after the release
if you would like.
