Hi Michael,

thank you very much for the reminder, I will try to build the package with the patch as fast as I can and see whether I can verify that it fixes the issue.

Best regards,
Tiziano

Hello Tiziano,

the next stable point release 10.9 will be Saturday
March 27th. Processing of new uploads into buster-proposed-updates will
be frozen during the preceding weekend.

Since I lack the setup to verify the fix, I have to rely on you.
If you want to see this fixed in stable, it would be great to have a confirmation really soon, that this commit really fixes the issue you are seeing.

Michael

I believe this to be the upstream issue https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/2365
which was fixed in systemd v243+. Since installation of the systemd
package from backports would break OpenMediaVault, I would like to ask
whether it is possible to backport the necessary fix to stable instead:
https://github.com/systemd/systemd/commit/bd7d6cec331a00fed29d00c2498f04e83d70b19c

The context of the patch changed slightly, so it won't apply cleanly out
of the box. I can provide the adapted patch if that helps.

Would be great to have a tested patch, i.e. a confirmation that the issue is actually fixed by bd7d6cec331a00fed29d00c2498f04e83d70b19c

The change itself looks small enough, so should be suitable for an inclusion in a stable update (user tagging accordingly).

Regards,
Michael
