Iiiinteresting. The plover repo that I've been working out of has 3.1.1 as the earliest version (Mon Nov 18 23:01:12 2019 -0500), but I do remember vaguely trying to decide if I was going to split the common out into its own repo. I think the 3.0.0 might be dated back to when we were waiting on the relicensing to solve the fact that it was undistributable (GPLv2 only / GPLv3 only) and I was trying to figure out the packaging in preparation.
