control: severity -1 important thanks So my plan is to replace src:vrms with src:check-dfsg-status and to provide a nice upgrade path and I might try to get this done for bullseye (caugh), (if) with the support of the release team, or maybe not. Then this would be my plan for bookworm.
In any case this will be staged in experimental soon.
However the outcome of this plan, I do think a virtual rms package in bullseye
(after having that for the last X years) is ok, it's virtual after all - and
having such a tool is also very worthwhile and enjoyed by many.
