Well, I guess I'm very confused then. When I attempt to print, there
are two printers listed now. One prints and the other does not.
Further, I do not have the hplip toolbox available any longer.
I deleted the one printer that does not print. Then I deleted the queue
that had been created with your instructions. Then I turned the printer
off, waited awhile and turned it back on. I then tried to print once
more and it seems to print correctly now at every attempt from a couple
different programs.
It seems confusing when the installation is supposed to set up the
printer and install all the necessary programs and files, and then
somehow fails to be the correct printer or starts holding print jobs or
whatever.
I do not understand what you might have done with the two commands you
had me run. How does that work? And why was there a problem in the
first place? It does not appear to be the case that we have identified
the underlying issue in Debian which caused the problem, and that
appears to me to be an unfinished bug issue.
