Hi Roger,

Since installing the experimental package, I've spent some more time investigating and it appears the dmesg errors:

1. never occur if networkctl is executed as root
2. always occur if executed as a un-elevated user
3. sporadically occur if executed when elevated with sudo

In all cases, the access point MAC address remains zeroed in the response.

Otherwise, the experimental package appears to be an improvement in that the txpower is now reported and the access point MAC is visible using 'iw wlan0 link'. I assume it won't make it to the bullseye release, but do you know if the plan is to merge it into bulleye post-release?

Cheers,
Phil

Thanks Roger, unfortunately both errors remain after updating to broadcom-sta-dkms/experimental,now 6.30.223.271-16~exp1.

However, on a more positive note, 'iwlist wlan0 txpower' does seems to be report correctly following the update.

Cheers, Phil

 Dear Maintainer,

Calls to networkctl, e.g. 'networkctl' or 'networkctl status wlan0',
result in the following error messages in dmesg:

 [ 6969.831960] ERROR @wl_dev_intvar_get :
 [ 6969.831968] error (-1)
 [ 6969.831979] ERROR @wl_cfg80211_get_tx_power :
 [ 6969.831982] error (-1)

I haven't yet observed any significant detrimental effect as a result of the errors, merely incomplete status reporting, e.g. missing access
 point MAC address.

Could you kindly try 6.30.223.271-16~exp1 in experimental?

It includes some patches to improve txpower, mac setting, etc.

Cheers,
