Dear Maintainer, In the manpage of rdate: ... "-u Use UDP instead of TCP as transport." ... but if you use the "-n" you also forced to use UDP-packets. it would be nice if the manpage would mention that. like RFC 5905: SNTP use UDP-datagram, even if the IANA assigned 123 UDP/TCP for that. -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.12.4 (SMP w/4 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_FIRMWARE_WORKAROUND Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages rdate depends on: ii libbsd0 0.11.3-1 ii libc6 2.31-11 rdate recommends no packages. rdate suggests no packages. -- debconf-show failed
