Package: shellcheck Version: 0.7.1-1 Followup-For: Bug #985003 X-Debbugs-Cc: msl0000023...@gmail.com
This is obviously an error during man page processing; this '–' character was originally a double dash '--', the option you looking for is actually '--list-optional'. I can confirm that the original MarkDown version of the man page (shellcheck.1.md) is correct, but it becomes corrupted during convertion to troff. -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.147-rivoreo-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages shellcheck depends on: ii libatomic1 10.2.1-6 ii libc6 2.31-11 ii libffi7 3.3-6 ii libgmp10 2:6.2.1+dfsg-1 shellcheck recommends no packages. shellcheck suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
