Hi Ingo,

I have received a bug report from David Harte (Debian bug #990906) and I can
reproduce the behavior.

https://bugs.debian.org/990906

It makes no difference if the linked directory is on a ntfs or ext4 file system
though. If you follow all steps and open the archive with xarchiver and double
click on the symlink, then xarchiver will move the files from the linked
directory to the tmp directory. They are not lost yet but this is a surprising
behavior. After a reboot they would be permanently lost though.

If I right click on the symlink and try to extract it then the extraction works
as intended. However the "Open with" feature (or a double click) produces an
error message and moves the files inside the symlinked directory to the tmp
directory.

Could you comment on this issue please? Is there a quick fix which I could
apply to address this problem because we are in a full freeze right now.

Regards,

Markus
