any news on this?

I remember that we confirmed several months ago, that this was indeed an issue
of missing firmware in your case.

Shortly before the release of Bullseye, the installer has received an
significant improvement for exactly this problem, so chances are high, that
the use of such an nonfree image with firmware included fixes the problem for 
you.
