Package: git-buildpackage
Version: 0.9.22
Severity: normal

Hello,
the discussion started in the context of the Debian Python team, and here's a
link to my post:

https://lists.debian.org/debian-python/2021/09/msg00065.html

and if you're not familiar with gitconfig includeIf (shameless plug):

https://sandrotosi.blogspot.com/2020/10/multiple-git-configurations-depending.html

So just to summarize a bit: it would be helpful for gbp.conf to have an option
similar to includeIf for git, where we can specify either key=value or a futher
file to include, depending on the CWD path we are.

This could be useful to include team-specific settings, while still allowing for
different settings on other path/repos.

These settings should have the same priority if ~/.gbp.conf.

Thanks for considering,
Sandro
