I can't adjust this behavior.
We've collected some steps to hopefully narrow down issues in the Debian Wiki. https://wiki.debian.org/Thunderbird#Bug_Reporting_.2F_Issues Basically you will need to check that you can exclude 1. any extension is causing the problem 2. that your profile is somehow misbehaving 3. the Debian packaged version is working differently than the upstream binaries Pre-compiled upstream versions can be found here: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/ -- Regards Carsten
