Hi.

What's the status of the ticket? Someone to update or push up to the project?

Tx.

Without a patch (either contributed by someone or taken from upstream) there is not much a Debian maintainer can do on this. Except from digging into the code myself which I am not available for at the moment due to ENOTIME (busy with other work).

In second half of Oct I will start preparing uploads of the MATE 1.26 series. Let's see if that fixes this issue. If yes, then we likely have a patch in 1.26.x that can be backported to bullseye's 1.24.x version.
